Jul 13, 2023

Beyoncé kicked off her highly anticipated Renaissance World Tour in Stockholm, Sweden in early May and has since touched down in Brussels, Paris and London.

Belting out fan-favorite hits and new chart-topping tracks, the record-breaking Grammy winner has been decked out in the most surrealist and club-ready fashions from the industry’s top designers, courtesy of stylist Shiona Turini.

The 2023 Renaissance World Tour marks Beyoncé’s first tour since her 2018 On the Run II Tour alongside Jay-Z, which celebrated their collaborative record Everything Is Love. Before this, her last solo headlining tour was the Formation World Tour, which took place in 2016 with music from her beloved album Lemonade. Next, Beyoncé will keep traveling across Europe, Canada and North America, before concluding the tour on September 27 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Don’t miss any of her on-stage looks by catching up on her most eye-catching styles, below.

Beyoncé adorned a custom Ivy Park look during her Hamburg, Germany show, giving fans a peek at the upcoming collection, in a light brown shimmering long-sleeve minidress with a wrap skirt and matching “IVY”-printed thigh-high boots.

Beyoncé was red hot in a crimson custom Carolina Herrera stretch crepe minidress with an ultra-plunging neckline by creative director Wes Gordon, teamed with a matching silk taffeta hood, red gloves, red stockings, red Jimmy Choo pumps and custom Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings that spelled out “Renaissance,” all styled by Julia Sarr-Jamois.

The superstar appeared in a custom Haute Couture “Heliosphere” gown by Dutch designer Iris van Herpen, crafted from 980 falcate shapes and 3D constructed by casting silver-marbled silicone into mirrored laser-cut outlines. With a halo-shaped neckline, the minidress featured long sleeves and an iridescent flowing glass-organza cape.

“It has been a huge honor to design and create the custom ‘Heliosphere Gown’ for Beyoncé. In her epic Renaissance tour, Beyoncé embodies feminine empowerment,” van Herpen said in a statement. “She symbolizes that confidence radiates from within and that beauty thrives in diversity. Her style is a kaleidoscope of elegance that inspired me and my team in every stitch, every bead and every petal — along the 700-hour journey of creating her halo-shaped gown.”

Beyoncé teamed the ethereal creation with custom Tiffany & Co. Move Drop Earrings that resembled a diamond-encrusted fish skeleton, matching the slice-and-dice nature of her futuristic frock.

Beyoncé wore a custom corseted Gucci leotard in black faille with duchesse satin detailing, drenched in draped crystal fringe over a sheer long-sleeve crystal embellished underlay, teamed with a silver metallic dome hat and custom Tiffany & Co. Victoria bedazzled eyewear while performing at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Beyoncé adorned a custom-made sheer illusion, silver sequined and pearl-encrusted Georges Hobeika catsuit with black opera gloves and custom Tiffany & Co. jewels, styled by Karen Langley, during her concert in Cologne, Germany.

Rocking Barbie pink, she shined in a sequin gown with a halter keyhole neckline and two thigh-high slits, and accessorized with matching opera gloves from her own label, Ivy Park.

“I started designing this collection over a year ago,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram. “I was so engulfed in all things RENAISSANCE and was inspired by Studio 54, Bob Mackie and the disco era. I wanted to do a modern twist using the signature IVY PARK neon and bring disco to the beach in this swim collection. I’m so happy to share this with you and even more proud to launch it for the first time on the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR. I’m proud to be among the very talented Black designers featured in last night’s show to celebrate Juneteenth.”

In another look by a Black designer in honor of Juneteenth, Beyoncé chose a disco-ball bespoke bodysuit from LaQuan Smith. The hand-embroidered shattered glass catsuit featured a deep plunging halter neckline, teamed with silver metallic custom Malone Souliers pumps styled by KJ Moody and Vance Gamble. The designer commented on Beyoncé’s photo on Instagram. “You look so stunning! I’m so happy the jumpsuit came to life in the most epic way. What an honor to have you wear my design ❤️.”

An homage to her Bey Hive, Beyoncé embodied a high-fashion bumble bee in a custom Balmain design by Olivier Rousteing, featuring a black and yellow embroidered bodysuit and matching wide-brim hat.

“In the industry where we have to all fight , I want to thank you to support last night all the black designers that had created their own space in this tough industry. This was THE CELEBRATION,” said Rousteing. “It has been tough , it has been hard, and change would never happen without you pushing since day one to make a better future where we can all express our creativity . You have been one of the first to make changes happen . I am sure you have been through a lot and last night it was about CHANGES ! The Renaissance world tour is about freedom , expression , and LOVE. Your support , your vision and your strength to not create an evolution but making a REVOLUTION ,will and is , part of the History. Thank you for reminding us that fights are not over and let’s keep pushing for a better world for the next generations. This is THE RENAISSANCE , a rebirth.”

Feben previously created costumes for Beyoncé’s music video for “Brown Skin Girl.” She went on to express her gratitude for the musician on Instagram. “Thank you for inviting me into your world. What an incredible moment to be a part of, and a pivotal one for myself, and my inner child.” Feben said. “It means the world to be supported and seen as a black female designer in the industry, thank you @shionat. Grateful for my amazing team- we would not be here without you.”
