This new food truck business in Menomonee Falls sells bubble tea

Feb 27, 2024

Menomonee Falls resident Lana Voden loves getting people excited about the beverage she started selling in her multi-colored pastel truck this summer. What she loves the most is the first reaction when someone takes their first sip.

"It is priceless," she said.

The drink is bubble tea, a tea-based cold drink with different flavors which Voden sells out of her food truck business called Bubble Tea Bar.

She and the unique-colored truck have made appearances in Menomonee Falls at Lavender Fest and at the Fourth of July parade.

During July, she set up a pop-up shop in Chocolate Falls, a homemade candy business in downtown Menomonee Falls.

Bubble tea, said Voden, is a trend, but said it's not as popular "in this area." That's why she brought the product to the Menomonee Falls area.

The drinks became so popular at Chocolate Falls that they're now a "grab & go" option there, with different flavors available.

Voden said that Bubble Tea Bar has more than 20 flavors with different combinations. She said, for example, there are fruit teas with about 12 to 15 kinds of fruit with different toppings. Bubble tea also has textured, flavored "pearls" that sit at the bottom of the tea.

The tea can be served with or without milk, she said. Different flavors include rose fruit tea, honeydew milk tea, brown sugar milk tea and pineapple lychee (tropical fruit) tea.

The hours for Chocolate Falls are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Bubble Tea Bar will be at the Old Falls Village beer garden from 3 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 5 at N96 W15791 County Line Road.

The truck is also scheduled to be at Picnic at the Plaza from 1 to 4 p.m. on Aug 29, Sept. 5 and Sept. 26. Picnic at the Plaza is at Mill Pond Plaza, W164 N9021 Water St.
